Celebrating 10th Anniversary, Semen Gresik Recorded Excellent Performance from Operation to Community and Environment Empowerment
Rembang, January 12th, 2024 – PT Semen Gresik held a peak celebration of the company's 10th anniversary (January 10, 2014 - January 10, 2024) with the theme "Growing Stronger" which was held at the Rembang Factory (10/1).
Semen Gresik's big agenda was carried out in a hybrid manner and was attended by the Director of HR & General of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Agung Wiharto, President Commissioner of PT Semen Gresik, Otok Kuswandaru, and President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, along with the company's leadership, management of subsidiaries and affiliates, guests and all employees from various cities in Indonesia.
President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, said the company is even a decade old. With a commitment to growing into an increasingly resilient entity during various industrial challenges and operational excellence efforts, the company can maintain positive achievements in 2023. Some achievements were able to make historical records for the corporation.
He also recounted the ups and downs of the company's establishment with various dynamics and challenges, until it was able to become one of the main players in the cement industry in the country.
"Positive achievements in terms of operations, namely being able to maintain the GREEN PROPER (Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management) of the Rembang Plant for 3 consecutive years from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) of the Republic of Indonesia, the highest release and production of cement since the plant was established, the achievement of the use of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of more than 100%, the increasing use of Alternative Fuel & Raw Material (AFR), and the designation of the Rembang Plant as a National Vital Object (OBVITNAS) from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry," he explained.
In the field of social community, Semen Gresik also recorded prestigious achievements including the achievement of the Tamasya Awards 2023 in the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program and the Subroto Awards from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, achieving Good Mining Practice from the Central Java Province Energy and Mineral Resources Agency (ESDM), being able to support employment with nearly 80% of employees from Rembang and Central Java, and supporting regional development through the contribution of the highest Regional Original Income in Rembang Regency in 2023.

The age of one decade, conveyed by Supriyadi, is a milestone to continue to strengthen the company's commitment to carrying out environmentally friendly business operations concerning sustainability values while continuing to contribute to supporting development in Indonesia.
On the same occasion, Director of HR & General of PT Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Agung Wiharto, also appreciated the success of Semen Gresik in being able to survive until now. "We continue to be grateful and pray for better, and hopefully with a strong foundation we will be able to overcome the increasingly tough market challenges ahead," he concluded.
The 10th Anniversary celebration agenda was animated with various activities, ranging from competitions between employees, an agenda of thanksgiving and compensation for 100 orphans, performances by employees and management, tree planting, to the inauguration of the Operational Building at the Rembang Factory, namely "Omah SG".
